Who is Thomas Collingham?
Hello, I’m Thomas Collingham (previously Singleton), and I am looking forward to standing again as your councillor candidate for Thurcroft and Wickersley South Ward on May 2nd, 2024 - along with my husband and councillor colleague, Zach Collingham.
As your elected councillor, I am committed to helping residents across Thurcroft, South Wickersley and the village of Brampton en-le Morthen. I grew up from an early age in Thurcroft and have a great knowledge of the area and know many of the residents - its often that if I don't know people, my parents will!
I pride myself on being a community champion, who is reliable and someone you can approach for support. I'm down to earth in my approach, giving you a real answer whether something is possible - but I will give it a good fight with the council before I say it can't be done!
Since my previous election in May 2021, I began working for Alexander Stafford MP, giving me valuable knowledge and appreciation of the local themes across Rother Valley. However, I realised I was a local man at heart, and I moved into the role of Parish Clerk. It has enabled me to work with parish councillors to make a difference on the ground with play equipment, flower displays and deliver local services such as holding village events, managing a community building and a local cemetery.
Reflecting on my role as a Borough councillor, I am truly honored to have been elected to Thurcroft & Wickersley South over the last three years. It’s a privilege to contribute to the progress and well-being of residents in the ward. I am excited about the journey ahead and look forward to the pleasure of delivering more priorities!
