Who is Tim Baum-Dixon?
Hello, I’m Tim Baum-Dixon, and I am proud to be your elected member and stand again as the candidate for Anston and Woodsetts Ward in the upcoming local elections for Rotherham Council on May 2nd, 2024.
As your elected councillor, I am deeply committed to serving the diverse communities of Anston, Woodsetts, Thorpe Salvin, and other smaller hamlets including Lindrick Dale, Lindrick Common, Netherthorpe, Turnerwood, West Thorpe, and Cinder Hill. Holding key roles such as Vice Chair of The Health Select Commission and former Member of the Oversight and Scrutiny Management Board, I am also dedicated to representing Rotherham on the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Panel.
From the moment of my election, I made a promise to stand up for all areas within the ward, ensuring that every voice is heard and represented. As a proactive leader, I believe in getting things done and addressing the needs and concerns of our community head-on.
My roots are firmly planted in Anston, where I reside with my young family. With a career in accounting specializing in small and family-run businesses in South Yorkshire, I go beyond my professional duties to offer free advice, training, and support sessions through RIDO to businesses in Rotherham, demonstrating my commitment to the local business community.
Education is of utmost importance to my family, with three daughters in primary school and nursery. I volunteer as a member of the ACET academy trust, contributing to the educational well-being of our community. My wife, a teacher in a Rotherham school, further underscores our family’s dedication to the local education sector.
I am passionate about Anston and Woodsetts, and I believe it’s crucial that local voices are heard by Rotherham Council. Since my election, I have tirelessly worked to ensure that every part of the ward is represented, reflecting my dedication to an inclusive and vibrant community.
