Who is Paul Thorp?
I have lived and grown up in the Rotherham area, raising my own family here in Rotherham I started My own company Transport company from scratch, and I have been hands on until this last year. Over the last few decades, I have watched Rotherham town centre change from a bustling lively shopping centre that people were proud to say they lived there. To something most people don’t recognise anymore.
The last straw to me was the ridiculous amount of money been spent on projects that nobody wants like, cycle lanes & bus lanes that cause more chaos than anything else. Then to Gamble £47 million pounds on a cinema with your council money, at the same time using government levelling up money to build a car park so people can catch a tram to Meadowhall where they can shop eat and go to a cinema.
I want the council to build and grow Rotherham as a hole, not sinking any available cash into the next grand project. Never asking people what they want just telling them what you’re getting whether you like it or not.
So here I am standing as a local Conservative Councillor to try to make Rotherham a better place for everyone.
