Who is Joshua Bacon?
Joshua was elected to represent Aston & Todwick in May 2021 having been motivated to stand by seeing the same old Labour councillors at RMBC who didn’t get the job done. Joshua believes in creating a tangible difference for residents and delivering the best representation for Aston & Todwick.
Joshua has since helped and spoken to hundreds of people, and official stats show he has done more casework than both Labour councillors in the adjoining ward combined.
The difference is starting to show. For the first time ever, people now see their local councillors fighting for them, alongside Alexander Stafford MP.
Joshua supported over 30 vital community groups, secured safety enhancements on our roads and live bus signs, brought in projects to rejuvenate over 10 areas across Aston & Todwick, worked with schools to win extra funding for external activities for pupils, democracy days and safety signage.
Holding numerous skip and litter pick days, Joshua’s cleanup campaign has removed the equivalent of over 2,000+ bags of rubbish from Aston & Todwick.
In addition to his work in the community, Joshua has been an ardent scrutineer of the Labour-led council and is committed to shining a light on wasted public money and resources.
Joshua is standing again in Aston & Todwick, passionate to continue on progress made, his campaigns for buses, roads and pavements, the countryside, as well as to protect our area from being ignored again by the same old councillors who take us for granted.
