We had a regular catch up with the Police to talk about Thurcroft and Wickersley. The figures are still non-comparable due to ward boundary changes, plus crime reported last year during lockdown versus this year makes it difficult to see a true reflection of trends in the ward.
We are seeing crime reporting drop massively which isn’t what I hear on the ground in some
cases, so I encourage everyone that any crime they see report it to 101 in non emergencies, 999 in case of emergencies or through the online reporting tool.
We are also happy to pass on reports to the Inspector if you feel that anything isn’t followed up.
Off Road Bikes continues to be a problem throughout the Borough. We are told there was only one report within the month which is making it hard to get the Off Road Biking Team in the area when we need them.
South Yorkshire Police have only completed one speed watch at Brampton Road. I have asked for Steadfolds Lane to be put on the list - let us know of any others.
