Many thanks to the local resident who messaged to say she was disappointed at the 15+ bags of rubbish that had been thrown across a half mile stretch of Guilthwaite Common Lane, coupled with many beer bottles and a large pile of fly-tipping.
Cllr Simon Burnett was able to visit and report this to RMBC. He will bring this up in the next meeting with fellow councillors and RMBC partners to look at ways of tackling this continuing problem
3 x very large potholes were also reported to RMBC on this very same stretch of road. Due to the size and depth, Cllr Burnett has asked for these to be filled as a priority
Cllr David Fisher said he understands there are many issues with roads and potholes across Sitwell Ward which we would love the council to make a more permanent repair. But often the budget and resources working RMBC to do this is not possible for every road we report.
Thank you to residents who do report issues. We will always try to take action as quickly as possible but accept there may be times were it will take us a little longer.
