Dinnington Ward Councillors have worked alongside Brookhouse Resident’s Association, Laughton-en-le-Morthen Parish Council and RMBC to fund a CCTV system covering Brookhouse and Slade Hooton.
Following a spate of burglaries last winter and a spike in antisocial behaviour, there was significant need for preventative measures to be installed, which ward councillors part funded. The remainder of the funding was raised by Brookhouse residents, with a contribution from Laughton-en-le-Morthen. This left a small funding gap for the whole scheme, which the fitters most generously waived in light of the circumstances.
This is great news for Brookhouse and Slade Hooton and hopefully will contribute positively to the prevention of crime in our rural areas.
