On Thursday morning Cllr Lewis met with Nicola one of the Neighbourhood Coordinators and Andrea and Paul from Housing.
They spoke with residents regarding any problems they were facing and future projects that are going to be taking place.
Cllr Lewis said “After a long year of hardly seeing anyone it was nice to get out and meet the people of Ravenfield to discuss issues that matter to them.”
The team also noted some vegetation that was pushing onto the overhanging cables needed to be cut back. This has been reported to council and will be seen to by the Trees department.
After walking the full length of the road it was also reported the number of defects on the road surface. When speaking to the Highway Inspector it was decided to put this road forward for the Carriageway Maintenance Scheme.
Cllr Lewis also took note of the amount of homemade dog fouling signage and has requested the council to come and put up proper signage to help deter the culprits.
Further to this the Community Centre on Smeaton Close should have the go ahead to reopen its doors from the 19th July 2021 so keep an eye out for any activities that maybe taking place.
Finally after meeting the Housing Team, Nicola and Lewis went to Jubilee Field to take a look at the drainage situation. They stopped to talk to local dog walkers and see what there take on this issue was.
